8z Broker Gathering Food Donations from Residents of Rock Creek to Boulder County Food Share

I-36 corridor Add comments

A few years back, local real estate broker, Brad Klein started a program for Rock Creek residents to donate food items to the Boulder County Food Share during the Thanksgiving holiday time.

Non perishable food donations

Food collected by Brad Klein from Rock Creek neighbors for the Community Food Share

Rock Creek residents will fill the attached bag (or multiple bags) with non-perishable food items and leave the bags visibly out near the front door on Sunday November 20th.  Any residents who may have bags to donate are asked to place them out early that morning as he will start the route pick up early!  After the pick-up Brad will deliver a large donation on behalf of the residents of Rock Creek to Boulder County Food Share.

It is a program that has been incredibly successful, for both the residents of Rock Creek and the Community Food Share. The folks at the Food Share have told Brad after past food drive efforts that they would love to have this program in other neighborhoods.

So even though times are tough. At this time of year, it is important to remember all the things in our lives that we can be grateful for. It is also a time to recognize that we all have the ability to help create enjoyment, happiness and well being in others and that a few items in a bag can provide that spark.

Thanks for your generosity.  For anyone who wants to be careful not to miss a beat of other events and activities happening in and around the Rock Creek neighborhood, visit Rock Creek Pulse by Brad Klein and the 8z team.
